The graphics are simple here, but simplicity works in this case. The symbols are of cakes, cupcakes and other treats, and as well as packing on the calories, these sugar-filled behemoths also pack a big reward. In fact, five of the strawberry cake symbols will return 5,000x, whilst the chocolate cake slice will pay out half that. There are also standard letters and numbers, but even they have been given a baked twist. In fact, there are a further two symbols that pay above 500x for 5, and when you add onto that the high RTP, it makes for a very impressive base game.
Bonuses
Rich Treats includes an exploding reels feature, which goes by many other names in other slots and is something you will have probably encountered before. Simply put, when you land a winning line then that line will disappear, with the symbols above falling into place before more symbols join the reels. This happens on every winning line, which means that it can theoretically go on forever, although in reality it only lasts for a few turns.
This is a pretty impressive feature and one that makes things a lot more interesting, but in Rich Treats it has been included not as an addition to any other feature, but as a replacement for them. This means that there is no bonus round, no free spins, no random feature. That’s a bit of a letdown, because no matter how much you like the theme and the exploding reel feature, you can’t help but notice the lack of anything extra.

Summary
As we said above, the lack of any sort of bonus round leaves a gaping void in this slot, and one that no amount of cute cake slices or exploding reels can fix. This game is generous, there is no doubt about that. The RTP might not be the highest we have ever seen, but there are some huge paying symbols and a progressive jackpot to boot. Because of that, Rich Treats deserves a 8/10, but with a little more attention to detail and another bonus or two, it could have achieved full marks and this game could have easily made it onto our regular play list.
