Game in Action
Reeking of the Saint Patrick’s Day spirit, Clover Rollover is as stereotypically Irish as you can get, with a heavy dose of Guinness, leprechauns and pots of gold. The graphics are simple, but not as archaic as the 5 payline setup would suggest. Also, there are some big paying symbols here, which came as a surprise to us considering we were expecting something that would resemble old fruit machines. The pot of gold symbol pays a huge 7.5k if you get 5 of them, and there is also a symbol that pays 5k and one that pays 1k. Admittedly, the common symbols pay very little, but there aren’t a great deal of symbols here, so the big ones appear a lot more than you would expect.
There is also a progressive jackpot on Clover Rollover, which pays out according to your stake. On many of the newer slots you have to play with a certain amount in order to even qualify for the progressive jackpot, on Clover Rollover, however, you will simply be given a percentage based on your stake. So, whilst you can unlock this jackpot with as little as $0.10, you won’t get as much of it as you would if your stake was $10. In fact, a stake of $0.10 will only secure 2% of the progressive jackpot, whilst stakes of $5 and above will secure all of it.
Bonuses
So, with a cutesy theme, limited symbols and a big progressive jackpot, what else does Clover Rollover have to offer? Those are the basics in many modern slots after all. Well, not in Clover Rollover, because that’s literally all there is. There are no free spins rounds, no random features, no stack wilds, no locked wilds, no wild reels and certainly no bonus rounds. What you see is what you get, and what you see isn’t much.

Summary
This is a huge letdown, and it’s a big surprise when you consider that this game was created by the same company behind some of the biggest and best slots this industry has seen. What Playtech thought when they were piecing together these stereotypical green pixels, omitting everything but a progressive jackpot that few people would even care about, is beyond us. We like to see the positives in all games that we review, but in this case we find it difficult to recommend Clover Rollover. The RTP is not high, there are limited paylines, poor graphics and no features. Of course, there is a progressive jackpot, but the same could be said for hundreds of other slots that do have all of those additional features.
