Game in Action
Wild Blood is hardly one of Play’n GO’s most beautiful slot, but its graphics work quite well with the theme. It’s dark and broody and the bloody card symbols are just what this slot needs. There are also four characters, though the male vampire is also the wild here. There is a somewhat disappointing lack in other symbols, because the only other symbols are scatters.
The background music, mostly played by guitar, also fits in well with the theme and does remind us more of True Blood. Since it is mostly a quiet sound during the base game, it never gets annoying either.
Wild Blood comes with only 15 paylines and is of medium volatility. Wins are not infrequent, but big wins are also somewhat rare. Thanks to multiples bonus features, it never gets boring, though.
Bonuses
During the base game the expanding wild on reel three is the most exciting thing happening. Whenever a wild appears here it will expand. But when two medallions that show up only on reels 2 and 4 appear on either side, you’ll be rewarded with five respins. Should the two medallions make another appearance, 2 more free respins are added. This can continue for quite some time.
Next up is the pick me feature. Three blood vials have to show up anywhere on the reels to trigger this feature. This is a pretty great looking feature and the graphics here are undoubtedly the best of the slot. You’ll be facing a bunch of blood vials and can pick and choose among them. They will reveal coin prizes, free spins and multipliers. Once you pick the poisonous bottle, the feature will end and if you’ve collected any free spins, they will commence, adding any multipliers you might have picked.
Finally there is the wild blood scatter. That doesn’t get you any extra free spins, mind you, but when it does appear in the base game, your wins are multiplied by the total bet that you staked on the spin. Additionally, during free spins, the scatter will increase your multiplier from 1x to 5x whenever two of them appear at the same time.
Let’s not forget that there’s also a gamble feature. Here you either double your win by picking the right card colour or quadruple it by picking the right card suit.

Summary
Wild Blood looks good, sounds good and has some fun features. Often it’s all about the free spins with Play’n GO slots, but that’s certainly not the case here. You can win quite nicely in the pick me feature alone. The free spins are just an added bonus.
Wild Blood is a great slot from Play’n GO and we can’t really find anything wrong with it. Whilst the features aren’t super inventive and remind us of other Play’n GO slots that have different themes, it is still quite playable and sets a dark mood, if you feel a little more emo.
