About Guns N' Roses Slots

NetEnt’s Guns n’ Roses slot was so hotly anticipated that people got excited over it a year in advance. Now that it has been released it proves that all the excitement was more than warranted. Net Entertainment brought us a unique and visually brilliant slot with amazing effects, its very own soundtrack and more features than we care to count. You are going to love this one, whether you’re a fan of the band or not.

When Net Entertainment first announced the launch of their new Rock Slots beginning with Guns n’ Roses, hopes were high, but sceptics held back. After all, this could have been a huge letdown. But when we caught our first glimpse of the slot, we knew it was going to be amazing.

Visually Guns n’ Roses is quite unique. All band members feature as well as a few Rock ’n Roll paraphernalia. Even the standard card symbols are decorated with… you guessed it: roses. Most impressive, however, is the background, which features a massive stage, bright spotlights that move around, and an actual crowd of people, who are swaying to the music and exploding on wins. On top of that there are fireworks whenever you score a win, which is also pretty impressive. And the online version of the slot offers plenty of clips of the band during some of the features.

It’s hard to believe that the slot ‘only’ offers 20 paylines, because wins are frequent enough that you might think there are more. But that is all due to the plentiful Wild symbols, which bring joy even in the base game.

Bonuses

The only other slot we know of with this many features is Koi Princess. But unlike in Koi Princess, the features seem to be triggered more frequently playing Guns n’ Roses. Or perhaps we had a particularly lucky session. But let’s get right into it, there’s much to cover.

Expanding Wilds – Whenever the Guns n’ Roses Slot Logo, which is Wild, shows up it will expand and cover a whole reel.

Legends Spins – This feature is random and can happen during the base game. You’ll get three free spins when it happens and on each spin one of the band members becomes an expanded Wild. On the first spin Axl Rose will sit on reel 3. Duff will turn reels 1 and 5 completely wild on the second spin and Slash will turn reels 2 and 4 wild on the third spin.

Appetite for Destruction – Another random feature. A Wild in the shape of a cross can show up on the screen. It will fully or partially show up on reels 2 to 4, covering a maximum of 5 symbols. You’ll get a free spin with it and if it shows up fully, it can bring some handsome wins.

Solo Multiplier – This is another random one. It’ll only happen, if you have at least three or four symbols of a kind. In that case a random multiplier from 4x to 10x may be applied to all wins on the screen. Of course it doesn’t show up too often.

Bonus Round – When the bonus symbol shows up on reel 1, 3 and 5, you’ll get launched into the bonus game. You’re asked to stop a wheel of fortune, which will either land on a coin prize, on the Crowd Pleaser bonus or the Encore Spins.

Crowd Pleaser Bonus – This one is an easy pick-me game. In the first level you have to reach 60 points to proceed. You get three picks and catch a ‘free spin’ symbol as well. On the left-hand side you’ll see if you reach each level and on the right-hand side you can see if you have enough free spin symbols to launch the Encore Spins. The Crowd Pleaser Bonus ends when you’ve either gone through all levels or have failed to reach the next one. If you have caught enough free spin symbols, you’ll get 10 free spins.

Encore Spins – You can land the free spin bonus by either collecting the symbols when playing the Crowd Pleaser Bonus (this is how we did it) or you land on them when spinning the wheel of fortune. You’ll get 10 free spins no matter what. Every spin comes with an expanding Wild (one of the band members) and all corresponding symbols of that band member will also become Wild during that spin. This is definitely the bonus feature that will offer the highest wins.

Summary

Net Entertainment has truly delivered a slot that is one of a kind with Guns n’ Roses. Not only is it visually stunning with some great effects, but the soundtrack is awesome (and only gets repetitive on the mobile version, where only “Welcome to the Jungle” plays on repeat) and the features won’t disappoint either.

You don’t need to be lucky to win when playing Guns n’ Roses. As a medium variance slot wins tend to be relatively frequent, but usually not huge. You can adjust bet levels yourself, which offers a lot of flexibility when playing. Overall we definitely love this slot, even though we were never fully fledged fans of Guns n’ Roses.
