Game in Action
With a gilded border and a nice meld of aesthetic theme with animation in sound, Excalibur sadly feels only 90% finished with a totally standard, modern day spin/bet/coin value options on the bottom. A skin finish over the rest of the game would have done much to make this a holistic success.
However, despite this one downside, the overall design and thought behind Excalibur is quite impressive compared to other slots on the market. The art style is cohesive throughout, and it is the little touches that really make it shine.
Music & Animation
One little touch, for instance, is a candle flickering to either side of your play. Something so simple, but it goes a long way to meld with the other subtle sound and animation effects to really succeed in evoking a feeling of antiquity. The slots spin starts slowly and come to an end with the sound of old wood on metal gears.

Summary
While feature’s like the Holy Grail’s “scatter” and twenty win lines, Excalibur isn’t a totally bare-bones playstyle, however it is one of the more simple slots. This may be appealing for some players, though, especially with an attractive maximum bet of $80 if you indulge in the four-coin top bet as well. A must-play for any fan of fantasy and medieval English lore.
