Happy Holidays has a very simplistic aesthetic. There are illustrated images of the festive season, some a little simpler than others, and overall it works to create a warm setting. This is helped further by the snowy backdrop, and the careful use of reds and greens. There are some big paying symbols, but nothing highly impressive, and overall the game has a very solid foundation.
There is also a fairly wide betting range, with players able to set a wide range of coin values, before playing as many as 30 of these per spin.
Bonuses
The bonuses are what sets this game apart from other festive slots we have played. The main bonus round is a free spins round, and this is also the most generous bonus round on the Happy Holidays. As soon as the round is triggered and your 10 free spins begin, the 243 ways to win turn into 1,024 ways to win, and the snowman symbol class comes alive and adds another dimension to this round. Keep an eye out for him, as he will turn into atoner high paying symbol, matching those nearby and triggering bigger wins as a result.
The snowman, known as Frosty, also appears in another bonus round. This is short-lived and it is triggered randomly. Once it is activated you will unlock an instant win — usually a cash amount of less than 10x. This feature is at its most useful on a board with scatter symbols, as it can trigger the free spins round.
It should be noted that the free spins round can not be re-triggered, which is a disappointment.

Not only can the free spins round not be re-triggered, but the fact that there are only 10 free spins is also a bit of a letdown. The aesthetics are not the best, and are a little simple for our liking, but they are far from the worst we have seen. Visuals aside, and ignoring the issues with the main feature, there is plenty on offer here, and Happy Holidays is a great way to get ready for Christmas.
