Rainbow Riches was one of the first true bonus slots, a pioneer in a genre that has since dominated this industry. It features a pleasant design, dominated by green fields and a plucky leprechaun. This is a strong game all-round, and the base game is very generous and fast moving, allowing for quick play and big wins. Besides the logo symbol which is the only symbol that pays out when you get just two of them, all of the standard symbols are letters and numbers, and nothing too flashy in that regard. There is also a wild symbol and one that appears fairly often, albeit without any additional multipliers.
Bonuses
The bonus rounds are where Rainbow Riches truly comes to life. The main bonus round, unlocked when you land at least three of the leprechaun symbols, puts you on a literal road to riches. You begin with about 6x your stake (increasing if you triggered the round with more than 3 bonus symbols) and from here you spin a wheel to go further along the road. The wheel has numbers from 1 to 6, as well as two “Collects”. The further you advance, the higher the stakes get, and if you make it towards the end you should be looking at around 500x at the very least. Of course, the average is far less, between 10x and 30x.
There is also a simple “choose me” round, unlocked when you land at least three of the well symbols. This will return between 3x and 10x when you get three of them, and considerably more if you get 4 or 5. There is also a jackpot wheel bonus round, which is incredibly rare. In fact, we have taken thousands of spins on this slot. We have triggered the main bonus round at least 30 times and the “choose me” round more, yet we have only accessed the jackpot wheel once.
If you are lucky enough to enter this round though then expect a big return, probably at least 30x.

Rainbow Riches is one of the most popular and widely played games around, and not without reason. If you have been playing slots for any length of time you will have seen this and probably played this, and if you’re anything like us then you will have loved it. This game is not as polished as some newer ones, but it’s everything you could ask for in a bonus slot and for that reason we think it deserves full marks.
