Dentists' and General Mutual Benefit Society Ltd Reviews are centered around the general quality of services they provide as well as their client-company relationship. DG mutual are specialist providers of pure income protection insurance to both self-employed and professional business people with a registered office in Birmingham. 

They  have been in the business of providing income protection insurance since 1927, and as been partnering together with people in the community to offer them care and protection based from their head office. They are authorized by the Prudential Regulation Authority and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and the Prudential Regulation Authority.


The society is a friendly society which means it is owned and governed by its members, through a committee of elected members which is supported in the day to day running by a team of employed staff. The DG Mutual was originally formed to protect the incomes of dentists, but their membership widened to include most professional occupations many years ago. As a result, the committee members bring a diverse range of professional backgrounds and experience to the Society. The Den Gen is there to help working people who, because of illness or injury, are unable to earn their living and always has been, owned by its 'members'. The society’s board of directors is committed to reaching and retaining a high level of corporate governance and has adopted the Annotated Combined Code for Mutual Insurers.

The board has implemented such requirements of the Combined Code deemed appropriate and practical and they clarify any non-compliance. They do not consider that their governance falls short of any of the requirements to some extent that there exists an adverse and material departure from the provisions which would lead to a significant failure in ongoing control. The society’s committee ensures that both the acquisition and disposal of assets is reviewed in line with the strategy that has been laid down by the Board of Directors and together with the fund manager with reference to performance, future opportunities and targets. They ensure the financial management of the society as a whole is reviewed in line with the business model. Their products range today includes mainly various types of Income Protection plans but not over 50's life cover. mortgage protection, level term assurance or Critical Illness.
