Game in Action
This is a very attractive game, even if the game screen can look a little cluttered at times. The symbols all animate when you get them in pay-lines, with the best of these paying 1,000x your line bet for 5 in a row, and the smallest one paying just 20x. The actual symbol art is nothing mind blowing, with all of them depicting items you would find on a Japanese dinner table, but it does fit perfectly with the theme. There is also a wild symbol in the shape of a soy sauce bottle, and as well as being fairly common, it also doubles all of your wins when it appears in any winning lines.
Bonuses
The main bonus round on Sushi Bar is a simple free spins round. This is triggered when you land between 3 and 5 of the scatter symbols, which come in the form of an Oriental fan. 3 of these will get you 8 spins, 4 will get you 12 and 5 will get you 20. As with many scatter symbols, if you land just 2, you will get your money back for that spin (assuming you have bet on the maximum lines).
Unfortunately, that’s where the benefits of this game end. There are no highly graphical bonus rounds, no random wins or random features. What you see is very much what you get with Sushi Bar, with things never deviating from the base game. Still, with a strong RTP, some multiplying wilds and the free spins mentioned, it is a game that can return some big wins.

Summary
Whilst this is a beautifully rendered slot, and one that is very fun to look at and to play, the lack of any big bonus rounds or extra features is a bit of a let-down. This is the reason we can only score Sushi Bar 7 out of 10, and if not for the great theme, animations and overall aesthetic, the score would be much lower than that. Still, if payouts are your main concern, which will be the case for many players, then you’ll be happy to know that this game is very generous.
