Game in Action
BetSoft have really gone all out with the theme for this one. Not only do the symbols, the soundtrack and the features all tie-in with the criminal theme, but the game options themselves are also setup like a CCTV terminal, providing more of an immersive experience.
The interface for Heist is fantastic, as is the cut-scene video which introduces you to the game. However, after all of that excitement and promise, the actual gameplay is a bit of a letdown. This is still a decent game, there is no doubting that, but it could have been something much better, something much more unique. After all, this is BetSoft, who are renowned for breaking the mould, and in this case Heist is very much confined to that mould.
Bonuses
The secondary bonus round is known as the Glass Cutter round, which promises a little more than it delivers. This isn’t some high-tech round where you use your skills to crack a safe. Instead, it is a simple “choose-me” round where you can win an instant cash prize, some free spins or immediate access to the main bonus round.
The main bonus round is also based around a simple game of choice, albeit one that is a little more interesting. As well as gaining access through the secondary bonus round, you can also trigger it by getting three or more of the vault symbols.
There is also a scatter symbol in the shape of a drill, but this doesn’t unlock anything special. The wild symbols have a big impact though, and if you land a couple of these on a single spin then you will typically pickup at least a 5x win.

Summary
Heist is well designed and BetSoft have done their best to ensure it looks and sounds great throughout. The two bonus rounds are also very good and the fact that you can gain access to the rarer bonus round through the more common one, is also a big plus. However, they could have done so much more with this theme and they could have added more bonus rounds. Still, all of that aside, this is another strong release from BetSoft.
