Game in Action
So what makes 2 Million BC standout? Well, not only is this game very slick and sharp, with a graphically rich intro and a main character (a full-blooded Neanderthal) who stays on the screen throughout, but it’s also very engaging. The symbols are all animated, coming to life when you score winning lines, and there are a few other animations throughout.
Bonuses
There are three bonus rounds in 2 Million BC, including a free spins round. The best of these is the Sabre Attack round, which is triggered when you get at least three of the acorn symbols. In this round you try and shoot a sabre tooth tiger with acorns, scoring big if you manage to knock him out. The other bonus is rarer and whilst it pays more, it isn’t as fun. This is triggered when you land enough of the diamond symbols and is a relatively simply “choose-me” round, with the player selecting the best route to a priceless diamond.
The free spins round is short-lived, triggered without pomp or ceremony. If you line-up at least three of the camp fire symbols, all within a single pay-line, then the screen darkens, the Neanderthal at the side of the screen sits down, and your free spins begin. There are a minimum of 5 of these, and a maximum of 25, all depending on how many camp fire symbols you get.

Summary
Overall, there is very little not to like here. If you compare 2 Million BC to many competing games, then it comes out on top in most areas. It has a few fun features, some great graphics and it is very engaging. However, if you were to compare it to some of the newer BetSoft releases, it lags behind somewhat.
As we said above, it is an impressive game and one that shows BetSoft’s timeless passion for innovation, but it doesn’t match up to their newest releases. These tend to include bigger and better story-lines, in-depth soundtracks, original bonus rounds and features, and even more advanced graphics. Still, this is a great game and should not be dismissed on these terms..
